Hello everyone!

Thank you so much for your kind words over the last few days, I am so happy to find others passionate about carousels, their preservation, and history. I have also had many people inquiring as to how they can help, so I figured I would make up a list of things that would really help contribute to my research.

Please don't be afraid to submit a tip or send me an email! Even if the information and/or photos you share are already known, it can be valuable to have information confirmed by multiple sources. Any help is very much appreciated, regardless!

  • Scans of the original 1994 silent auction catalogue (this is, by far, the most important document for my research, and some days I wonder if a copy of it even exists anymore!)

  • Digital copy of the silent auction "movie" catalogue--a film that could be purchased before the auction that showed the figures in detail (this is also extremely rare, and I can hardly find any mention of it at all, again, there may not be any existing copies left)

  • Photos or videos taken at the 1994 silent auction

  • Information regarding which specific figures sold at the original silent auction

  • Scans of the following The Carousel News & Trader magazines:

    • November 1998, Vol. 14, Issue No. 11

    • April 2002, Vol. 18, Issue No. 3

    • April 2004, Vol. 20, Issue No. 3

  • Scans of the Painted Ponies 2000 calendar

  • Photos of any of the carousel figures, chariots, mechanism, or decorations (do not be afraid to send similar or repeat images, I will sort through what I do and do not have based on what is sent in)

  • Photos and information of any reproduction figures, miniatures, or other artwor depicting the carousel's figures.

  • Information and photos of Atlantic Beach Park, Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, which operated 1915-1940 (also known as Bayview Park, Joy Land Park, and Mandalay Park)--believed to be the park where the carousel operated after leaving Palisades Amusement Park in 1914

  • Information and photos of the carousel at Chapultepec Park, Mexico--the carousel operated there from an unknown year to 1932
